Meaning of Second Amendment

The news last week that Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona was taking steps that should have been implemented two decades ago - essentially activating a form of the organized militia under the Second Amendment - drew fire and criticism from those who promote lawlessness. If you favor rewarding illegals instead of rounding them up and deporting them, you are promoting lawlessness and caving into blackmail from militant, anti-American organizations. No more doublespeak or silly phrases such as "earned legalization." Illegal means illegal, not rewards for those who have committed a criminal act by violating existing federal immigration laws.

I have covered all the horror stories about the illegals as well as the gangs coming across the border from El Salvador, Honduras and other third world countries. John Taft has done an excellent job covering this issue as did Dr. Madeleine Cosman (diseases and child molesters/rapists) before her passing earlier this year. Frosty Wooldridge, The Minutemen and a half dozen other excellent organizations have been on this issue for years. National Security, upholding our laws and the destruction of our republic taking place because of this massive invasion is the issue. Sheriff's in the four border states are finally stepping forward:

"Sheriffs in the Texas Border Sheriff's Coalition decided during their annual meeting Thursday to join in forming the new group along with sheriffs from New Mexico, Arizona and California. "The failure of the U.S. government to secure the border has forced all of us to join together and unite in one voice so that we may be heard," El Paso County Sheriff Leo Samaniego said."

This is exactly what Sheriff Arpaio is doing: enforcing existing laws. In reality he has "called up" the organized militia in defense of the State. Let me give you a short excerpt from one of Dr. Edwin Vieira's brilliant columns on Homeland Security and the state militias (This is on the Edwin Vieira CD):

"Because the Constitution itself empowers "the Militia of the several States" for National purposes, the Militia are not optional, discretionary, or disposable for Congress, the President, the Judiciary, the States, or even We the People. First, because the Militia are "the Militia of the several States", Congress lacks all authority either to create or to dissolve them. Congress also lacks authority to disregard, neglect, or impede the Militia, with respect either to their performance of their constitutionally mandated services to the Nation, or to their practical ability to perform those services.

"Instead, Congress's powers and duties are "[t]o provide for calling forth the Militia" for particular National purposes, and to make them fully effective for those purposes by "provid[ing] for organizing, arming, and disciplining the[m]". Article I, Section 8, Clauses 15 and 16. The President "shall be" their "Commander in Chief" "when [they are] called into the actual Service of the United States". Article II, Section 2, Clause 1. And the Judiciary lacks authority to absolve either Congress or the President of these responsibilities.

"Second, although "the Militia of the several States" are State institutions, the States cannot dispense with them, either, because the Constitution presupposes their permanence, and the Constitution is "the supreme Law of the Land". Article VI, Clause 2. Obviously, if the States could dissolve their Militia at will, they could erase Congress's power to "call[ ] forth the Militia". They could render unfulfillable the duty of the United States to "guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government" and to "protect each of them against Invasion; and * * * against domestic Violence". Article IV, Section 4. And they could even disarm themselves from "engag[ing] in War" when "actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay", because (absent dispensation from Congress) they would have no other armed forces to deploy. Article I, Section 10, Clause 3."

Because Congress, the four border governors and their state legislatures have refused to uphold the law and stop this invasion, Sheriff Arpaio is 100% in line with the law of the land in calling forth these volunteers to work with his deputies in patrolling and apprehending illegals. It is his duty under the law since Congress and the states refuse to get the job done because of special interests and because most of them are cowards. Counterfeit RINO U.S. Senator, Melquiades “Mel” Rafael Martinez, was on the tube over the weekend telling America they should support a bill being offered up which will force illegals here two years or less to happily hop on the bus back to Tijuana, Nogales or communist China and apply to enter America legally. Oh, right. This bill will require background checks on 15 MILLION + illegals. Oh, right and just who is going to get that job done? Background checks on gang members from Honduras or people from the deep interior of Mexico who probably haven't registered births, etc? This bill requires illegals to learn English. Yeah, right. And who is going to monitor that little requirement? Martinez is a useful fool.

The final bullet is about to be fired into the heart of this republic which globalist, George Bush, will follow up with the FTAA and then we're finished. Frist, McCain, Clinton and Kennedy are gearing up to shove a full amnesty bill down our throats despite the massive outcry by we the people against such lunacy. Any form of rewarding illegals in this country with anything other than immediate deportation will result in the same thing the last failure in immigration "reform" legislation produced and encouraged: the invasion exploded. There's no question Bush wants open borders. He serves his global masters, not the people of America. Those who support Bush will scream this isn't true and that I'm just another "Bush hater." No, I'm someone who does the hard research. My blind loyalty isn't to some stupid political party or individual, it is to my country.

America belongs to we the people. Not Congress, not the president, not the governors or state legislatures. As I write this column, the cable networks are full of the same old gas bags debating the politics of the illegals invasion while Americans continue to have our wallets picked and lawlessness shoved right in our faces. I happened to catch that foolish talk show host, Ed Schultz, on CNN the other night jaw jacking in support of the plan to Sovietize America. Listen up, Ed: You need to go out and rent a bucket of guts and get with the concept of upholding existing laws, NOT rewarding those who break our laws. Schultz is so ignorant about the real George Bush and his agenda to finish his father's work to cement a one world government, he actually said:

"Look, the bottom line is the president has been on the sideline on this issue for five years. They've had the power to do everything they want to do, and now they're coming up with the idea of national guard troops and a fence. That's lame. It's absolutely lame. You're not going to move 12 million people out of this country. You have got to bring them into the fold, go along with the Kennedy and the McCain bill because that's where most of the country is right now. It's just a few conservatives that are screwing this up."

Here's a news flash for you, Mr. Ed: Those who demand our laws be enforced aren't "screwing this up." Your liberal buddies in the U.S. Congress have sat back on their well padded backsides - just like the GOP - for twenty years and allowed this problem to escalate into a full blown invasion. Most of the country is behind the Kennedy/McCain madness? What planet does Schultz live on? Any form of amnesty is surrender. Any form of "earned legalization" is playing right into the hands of the new world order architects and will be disastrous for our republic. Make no mistake about it, folks. BIG trouble is coming if Bush, Frist, McCain, Kennedy and their ilk get their way.

This discussion was countered by another GOP huckster in complete denial, radio talk show host, Dennis Prager, who actually said this:

"Why wasn't it an issue? I think this president is exactly what he calls himself, a compassionate conservative. And I think that he has a very strong sense of identification coming from Texas and knowing Spanish and working with a lot of Hispanics. I think he has a lot of compassion for these people. I don't think that he saw it quite as much as a threat to the society as it has developed since then. The president is a human being too. He is not merely a political machine. And he has been pushed by events to take this into consideration. That is a normal thing."

It is hard to fathom how educated people like Prager could actually utter such garbage, much less believe it. People should read the section of the transcript linked above so they can see just how factually challenged these talk show hosts are and why they are so dangerous to liberty. Is it any wonder so many Americans have tuned out?

We the people are the government and we the people have the power to stop the planned destruction of America. Sheriff Arpaio has taken a huge step in that direction by calling up citizens in their capacity as the organized militia to repel this invasion. While it might surprise the ninnies out there who pass themselves off as men, there are organized militia in this country who are conducting themselves 100% under the supreme law of the land, i.e. The Militia of Washington County, Arkansas. These individuals fully understand the Second Amendment requires them to be armed, trained and ready in defense of their state.

If you live in one of the counties where these 25 sheriffs are now speaking out and joining together, get the Dr. Edwin Vieira CD ($2.00) and send it to your sheriff. Let them know that Sheriff Arpaio is doing this exactly the right way under the law and ask them to listen to the CD. Please feel free to make as many copies as you want. This is what Peter Mancus, an attorney and fierce supporter of the Second Amendment was kind enough to say about this CD:

"This man's scholarship explains exceedingly well the constitutionally correct interrelationship among the Militia, the Second Amendment, the Armed Polices, sworn peace officers, Congress' power to raise and support the Armed Forces, and Homeland Security, the differences between the Militia/Armed Forces/National Guard, who are members of the Militia [whether they realize it or not,] the nature and scope of the right guaranteed in the Second Amendment, and the constitutional limits on government's legitimate powers relative to the Militia, privately owned firearms, and the right guaranteed in the Second Amendment.

"Ms. Kidd, with exceedingly clear diction throughout, introduces this man, explains his impressive credentials, and then, apparently, states out loud, with excellent diction, what this man wrote about these subjects. I put the CD in a CD player in my car and listened to it carefully as I drove around town running errands today. This is a slick, easy, way to learn. This man's reasoning-to-result is without fault, and that is not hyperbole."

Get on the phone between now and Memorial Day and pound on your counterfeit U.S. Senator: No amnesty of any kind. Deport all illegals regardless of how long they have been here or country of origin. Mandatory jail time for employers who hire illegals. Get that fence built NOW. Forget sending hundreds of billions of dollars (unconstitutional as all get out) to continue destroying Iraq. Hire more U.S. Border Patrol agents NOW.

And, again, I ask: Where is the NRA and all the other big Second Amendment organizations? Why are they ignoring this important issue? It is critical the organized militias as mandated by the Second Amendment get implemented in every state of the Union. As Edwin has so eloquently pointed out in his columns: the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear arms; see here. This is why I no longer belong to the NRA. All they want to do is "lobby" Congress, hold fancy dinners and make pretty speeches instead of cut to the chase. They know about Edwin's proposal to reconstitute the state militias and have done nothing. If they really want to stop the anti-gun laws, stand for border security and the law, they would have informed their nearly four million members about Edwin's proposal and gotten those millions activated. Instead, the silence is deafening. But! They do have a special section on their web site in Spanish. Gee, I'm impressed. Hopefully, this kind of tragedy won't strike one of their own while they "lobby":

"A teenager in the United States illegally is now charged with murdering a Nashville woman and her daughter. Jose Sosa, 16, was arrested and charged on Thursday with the murders of his former neighbors, Lori and Adrian Rountree. They were brutally stabbed to death in their Antioch home in April 2006. Police say they found a finger print of Sosa at the crime scene that matched one the border patrol had on file of him from last year. They say he had been caught coming into the United States illegally, detained and fingerprinted and then later deported. However, he apparently re-entered the country at a later time. Sosa is currently being held in the Juvenile Detention Center."

How many more innocent Americans will die for votes, corporate America and cowardice by Congress for refusing to immediately take steps to shut down the border?

Take a minute to watch this video clip from KGNS TV called Border Terror and their investigation into the terrorists coming across the border. It should scare Americans out of their fog and apathy and reinforce why it is critical the state militias are activated in defense of the states to repel this invasion and stop the horror that is being unleashed upon our country.
