Pro-Sodomy Bill Sparks California Public School Exodus

“We’re Here, we’re queer, we’re in the classroom.”
Lesbian Activist Donna Red Wing addressing Gay, Lesbian and Straight Teachers Network, 1995.
Last year, California Governor Schwarzenegger signed legislation mandating
that public school children as young as 5 years old be indoctrinated
to accept the abnormal homosexual lifestyle and other forms of sexual
deviancy.
Christians are saying enough is enough. A broad coalition of Christian grassroots
organizations have joined forces to call for California families and
churches to rescue their children from California's public schools.
600,000 students may leave the California schools this year alone
through their efforts.
The growing coalition includes Eagle Forum, the Campaign for Children
and Families, Exodus Mandate, and ten more sponsors, five of which
are based in California. These organizations will be providing information
to California parents and pastors concerning the new school legislation,
how it mainstreams sexual deviancy, and what they can do about it.

What SB 777 Means for Your Children
With the passage of SB 777, homosexual activists now have state approval
and a wide open door to promote their corrupting agenda. SB 777 forces
schoolchildren to support all aspects of transexuality, bisexuality,
and homosexuality, mandating changes to all textbooks, instructional
materials, and school activities. Here is brief outline of the changes
to California code.
-
SB 777 uses the anything-goes definitions of transsexuality, bisexuality,
and homosexuality from the California Penal Code, Section 422.55-57.
“Gender” and “sexual orientation” in 422.55 are defined by 422.56
and 422.57 to mean all aspects of transsexuality, bisexuality,
and homosexuality, whether by appearance or behavior. "Gender"
means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender
related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically
associated with the person's assigned sex at birth.
-
SB 777 brings the Penal Code’s definitions of transsexuality and
sex changes, bisexuality and homosexuality into the California
Education Code, and deletes the true definition of sex and
gender, which is “the biological condition or quality or being
a male or female human being.”
-
SB 777 then inserts all aspects of transsexuality, cross-dressing,
bisexuality and homosexuality into Education Code Section
220, making this section depend on the unlimited sexual behavior
and appearance definitions in the Penal Code: SEC. 11.
-
SB 777 then proceeds to impose Section 220’s definitions on all
schools to require all “instruction” and “activities” (textbooks,
instructional materials, classroom instruction, school activities,
etc.) to positively portray (not “promote a discriminatory
bias” upon) sex changes, cross-dressing, homosexual marriages,
and all aspects of bisexuality and homosexuality. This mandate
affects children from kindergarten through 12th grade in
California public schools. (Randy Thomasson, Campaign for Children
and Families)
Bruce Shortt, author of The Harsh Truth About Public Schools, notes,
“No longer will children raised in these schools understand that God
made us male and female. Children will be told that because there
are many sexual orientations and gender identities, they simply have
to reach their own conclusions about which sexual orientation and
gender ‘possibilities’ are ‘right for them.’ Along with this will
come the message that you really can’t tell whether you like something
unless you have tried it. The likely consequences of this for children,
the institution of the family, our churches, and our culture are horrendous.”
California Burning
Phyllis Schlafly, President of Eagle Forum conveys the urgency, “Many of us
have worked to reform public schools. Unfortunately, SB 777 and the
related legislation represent a repudiation of 2,000 years of Christian
moral teaching on human sexuality, marriage, and the family. The result
is that California’s schools are now promoting behaviors and lifestyles
that are physically and spiritually dangerous for children.”
Randy Thomasson of the California-based Campaign for Children and Families
has witnessed the attack on parental rights over the last several
years, “First, the law allowed public schools to voluntarily promote
homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality. Then, the law required
public schools to accept homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual teachers
as role models for impressionable children. Now, the law has been
changed to effectively require the positive portrayal of homosexuality,
bisexuality, and transsexuality to six million children in California
government-controlled schools. To rescue their children, loving parents
need to find an alternative to government schools, and every church
needs to make it a priority to help parents be in charge of their
children’s education again.”
We have never been faced with a threat this great to schoolchildren’s
innocence. Exposing young children to ideas and images of homosexuality
leaves lasting and corrupting impressions which cannot be easily removed.
"Private schools and homeschooling will be the only sanctuary left
for parents in California who love their children and want to protect
their sexual innocence." Says Thomasson. (WND, Oct. 16th)
The California Crisis, an America Crisis
“The Crisis in California marks the beginning of a new era of persecution
in the history of state sponsored, public schools,” says E. Ray Moore,
coalition leader and founder of Exodus Mandate. “It is not just a
California Crisis but an American Crisis. The passage of SB 777 and
AB 394 by the California legislature in 2007 mandates the systematic
destruction of the traditional family.”
"There's no stopping this movement. I think they're going to take over the
entire system in the next two to five years. "I can't predict how
fast the virus will run throughout the public school system, but I
think it cannot be stopped," he said. “It is an incredible opportunity
for Exodus Mandate to do what we do best, to advocate the biblical
message Christian children need Christian education.”
Moore went on to call for Christians to be obedient, "You are being irresponsible
as a parent to put your child in a public school," Moore said. We
must exercise our religious freedom now and remove our children from
godless and pagan public schools.”
"If traditional minded people abandon that system in enough numbers, it
will implode. By leaving your children there as a Christian you're
exposing them to extreme moral danger. You can't immunize them with
a few hours of Bible study during the week," he said. (WND, Oct. 16th)
A Campaign worth Supporting
While the “anybody but Hillary” express will be gaining steam towards November,
Exodus California will be working overtime using creative ideas such
as teacher and parental pull out pledges to reach their threefold
goals:
-
To Assist the general public in understanding the implications
of SB 777 and AB 394 for the Christian community in the United
States, in California and around the world.
-
To see 10 percent of all Christian parents in California pull
their children out of the public schools
-
To see 3 percent to 7 percent of the teaching and administrative
staffs resign from the secular schools system and practice their
profession in Christian settings.
Moore continues, “As long as the majority of Christians keep their children
in the Humanist school systems we can’t win the culture war. To think
otherwise doesn’t pass the common sense test or the theology test.”
"This
really is a call to conservative and Christian pro-family groups to
give up this absurd idea of public school reform. It can't be done.
The longer they talk about saving public schools, the longer they
prolong this agony, when they could be setting up new schools." (WND,
Oct. 16th)
It’s time to get behind a campaign that will have eternal benefits.
Every Christian ministry should hitch one horse to the exodus wagon. Continuing
to reform the public schools is akin to putting polish on rotting
wood. We have a new teacher in California, one who promotes sodomy
and radically opposes the traditional family.
The student in the end becomes like his teacher.
The new school year starts in August.
