Freedom Means Sacrifice,
"Not Entitlements"

America’s founders sacrificed their lives, their families, their homes and their possessions for Freedom.
Today, America’s citizens really believe they are “entitled” to assistance (tax money) from their federal, state, county and local governments.
That’s called taxation.
Or redistribution of “wealth,” which is Communism. A helpless, hopeless Welfare State.
When did America cross the line from freedom and independence to welfare and dependence?
It really began with the illegal federal income tax in 1913,which was never ratified by the states (16th Amendment).
It has been all downhill since for Freedom and Independence for America’s working taxpayers.
Under our Constitution, no one is really “entitled” to someone else’s money or property. We must be willing to die for Freedom, which we did during World War I and World II.
That was then. This is now.
We have an entire post-war “boomer” generation and their children who don’t understand the fundamental principles of Freedom: Sacrifice. Sacrifice. Sacrifice.
What we have today is an Army of “special interests” demanding tax dollars in the form of welfare grants and paychecks. These special interests are unions, farmers, environmentalists, corporations, contractors, authorities, investors, institutions, students, doctors, lawyers and Indian chiefs (“native Americans”).
Under our Constitution, America was to be the land of freedom and opportunity – not a land of fat and able welfare recipients living off a gargantuan tax-and-spend government that is no longer a free, independent Republic, but a socialist-communist regime.
There you have it! America at the beginning of the 21st Century, after a 20th Century of liberalism, socialism and communism.
Our sacred Constitution has become a worthless piece of paper representing nothing except “special interests.” Like it or not, we’ve all become “special interests,” or parasites. Yes, “What’s in it for me?”
Every American should look in the mirror and say this to themselves:
I want an America that is safe and secure; where choices (in education, health care, and retirement) abound; where taxes are fair, flat, and comprehensible; where everybody has the opportunity to go as far as their talents will take them; where government concentrates on its core functions, recognizes its limits, and shows favor to none.”
That just happens to be what the nonprofit Heritage Foundation wants for every American ( www.heritage.org). After all, that is our “Heritage.”
There are two wars going on in America: The War Against Taxes (remember the American Revolution?), and The War on Terror.
Higher taxes discourage work, saving, investment, and entrepreneurship (a prosperous economy).
A dynamic little place on the other side of the globe known as Hong Kong has figured out what our government (politicians and bureaucrats) have yet to figure out:
Confiscatory taxes destroy civilizations.
Hong Kong has a flat tax. It is no coincidence that over the past 50 years, Hong Kong has been the world’s fastest growing economy.
In a word, FREEDOM!
A flat tax is a fair tax for all workers. That’s why it works. Simple, easy, and honest.
Wake up, Washington! Wake up, Trenton! Wake up County Boards! Wake up, Town Halls!
We’re losing America – and the American Dream of freedom and opportunity for everyone.
