What’s Next: Government Taxing
Us To Breathe The Air?

December 22, 2005

By Gordon Bishop

America’s taxpayers are suffocating from oppressive taxation!

Here’s the latest tax New Jersey wants to impose on its 6 million taxpayers, as headlined in the state’s second largest newspaper:

NEW TAX ON TAP WATER CLEARS PANEL

The article in the Asbury Park Press says that “New Jersey households would be taxed about $3 per year for their tap water, if a measure approved by an Assembly panel becomes law.

“The purpose of the tax is to raise $18 million a year for a fund to protect water supplies.”

The $18 million will never be spent to for water protection. It will go into the State’s general treasury and be wasted by hiring more politically-correct bureaucrats. The state’s government, after all, is the biggest employer in New Jersey.

What New Jersey, the federal government and all levels of local and regional governments must do is to downsize government, not continue to bloat the bureaucracies with political party insiders.

I received an incomplete list of TAXES in my e-mail the other day. Our founding fathers went to war and won the American Tax Revolution of 1776. That was to end taxation without representation.

America today has excessive representation and excessive taxation AND

Regulations.

Here’s the incomplete Tax List, folks:

CDL License Tax

Workers Compensation Tax

None of these taxes existed 100 years go, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world, had absolutely no debt, had the largest middle class in the world and mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What the hell happened?

Simple. America has become a liberal, socialist, Marxist welfare state.

America, we desperately need another American Revolution before our government bankrupts our socioeconomic society.

New Jersey and California will lead the government bankruptcy bandwagon because they’re already broke!
