Surprise vote on ENDA Thursday?

Our sources on the Hill are telling us to brace for the ultraliberal leadership of the 110th Congress to quickly move the Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA) to the floor for a vote, possibly in the next 48 hours.

They will do this by replacing another bill with ENDA at the very last minute.

If this happens, we will have little or no formal notice that a floor vote on ENDA is imminent, which is exactly their strategy.

I need your help or we face the possibility of this very dangerous bill sneaking through.

We understand that homosexual rights activists have launched a major grassroots effort to pressure the House into passing this bill. These groups are also working behind the scene to further expand the "gender identity" language and make this bill even worse for Christians.

Talking points:

1. I oppose ENDA (H.R. 3685) and urge you to do the same.

2. ENDA wrongly creates a new legally protected class based on "sexual orientation" and/or "gender identity."

3. ENDA will force employees and employers to embrace or promote values that may violate their own religious or personal convictions.

4. ENDA does not include enough protections for religious organizations.

As our legal team has documented, this bill presents a serious threat to the rights of Christians. By elevating "sexual orientation" to a protected status, it puts our Christian faith at odds with the law. Christian non-profits and even churches could face repercussions and Christian-owned businesses could be forced to adopt policies that support the homosexual agenda.

Again, we are bracing for a last-minute effort to push for a floor vote on ENDA this week. It is possible that ENDA's supporters will pull the bill back, but we simply must be ready.
