STOP The Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA)

I want to alert you to another issue that could have a chilling effect on the rights of Christians in our country.

The full U.S. House is scheduled to vote either Wednesday or Thursday on the Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA), a sweeping employer mandate to create special new legal protections based on "sexual orientation," including preferences or perceptions about sexuality.

This bill poses a grave threat to Christian businesses and organizations.

Our Washington office has been following this bill very carefully. On Friday, Rep. Barney Frank said that he will lobby other members of Congress to support an amendment to the Act that would cover transsexuals. Rep. Tammy Baldwin said she has secured an agreement from the Democratic
leadership to introduce the amendment when ENDA comes up for a vote on the Housefloor.

Well-funded special interests in Washington have been aggressively lobbying for ENDA although the majority of the public opposes the bill. Plus, many business associations have decided to be silent on this issue!

That means grassroots citizens like you are the last line of defense. Two vital action items:

Talking points:

1. I oppose ENDA and urge you to do the same.

2. ENDA will create more conflicts in the workplace.

3. ENDA wrongly creates a new legally protected class based on "sexual orientation" and/or "gender identity".

4. ENDA will force employees and employers to embrace or promote values that may violate their own religious or personal convictions.

The radical homosexual lobby is determined to pass this bill. Itruly believe you and I are the last line of defense short of a presidential veto, which may be difficult to obtain or even be overridden.
