It seems that the Democratic majority in Raleigh is concerned about dogs
being left on a leash for 24 hours (Bill SB 695) but want to keep citizens
on a leash forever by refusing to allow a vote on land rights issues.
When asked about forced annexation, Senator Bingham (a pretend
Republican) recently referred to a fair and Democratic vote as a "tyranny of
the majority". How unspeakably ridiculous! We are supposed to be a Democracy
wherein the vote is the cornerstone of our system. "Democracy is a form of
government in which state-power is held by the majority of citizens within a
country or a state." (*Wikipedia). For Bingham to say that a vote might
result in a "tyranny" is just plain stupid; it is an outrage and an
incomprehensible example of how far removed from common citizens and common
sense our professional politicians have become. Politicians like Hugh
Holliman and Stan Bingham serve the tax-funded League of Municipalities
while ignoring our own repeated and clearly voiced pleas. That is a tyranny.
No "tyranny" was ever created by allowing a vote!
Neither is North Carolina is not a "republic" - as some claim -
with "Represenative Government". We (the annexed) were disallowed from
voting in the city elections, nor were we allowed to vote in the elections
concerning Tony Rand - the Democratic Majority leader of the Senate and who
is the obstinate obstacle to annexation reform.
The form of Government we have today is some sinister slop of rule by
wealth (plutocracy), class privilege (oligarchy), but most closely resembles
a *"Kleptocracy - a government that extends the personal wealth and
political power of government officials and the ruling class (collectively,
kleptocrats) at the expense of the population, sometimes without even the
pretense of honest service. The term derives from the Greek root klepto
(theft)." Although this describes our politicians perfectly, there is an
even more descriptive form of North Carolina's Government, and after dealing
with our House representatives and Senators for years, I am convinced that
what we have is an idiotocracy- rule by idiots.
We the people and taxpayers have to start forming PACs and participating
in demonstrations before the parasitical Government takes everything
(including our ever-shrinking freedoms) for themselves and the tax-funded
programs they profit from. Join us May 30 for a tea party in downtown
Kernersville, and if you would like to have our own write to Keith Bost.
The good news is that taxpayers have the ultimate power. We can let the
politicos build our prison with our money or use our money to secure our
freedom, but there is no other choice. Standing still in drying cement is
not an option.
