And so it ends. In a video released yesterday, Ron Paul announced that his presidential campaign will be winding down, and that our job now is to prepare for the next phase. In the words of Dr. Paul: “Elections are short term events; revolutions are long term projects.” Ron Paul tells us today that he will continue to play a key role, “but it has to be more than a Ron Paul Revolution.” How right Dr. Paul is.
Rick Williams and Trevor Lyman are starting a new media company here at Breakthematrix.com. Over the past month or so, we’ve been asking for your support. To the more than 6200 of you who have pledged to participate in our public securities offering, we say: thank you. In this Breakthematrix.com Update No. 3, we provide some additional insights about where we are in our planning.
For those of you who have not yet visited Breakthematrix.com, we urge you to do so. Read what we have to say about our proposed new media company, and if you are interested please indicate your support by clicking the "pledge" button at the web site. No money is being requested at this time; your pledge is entirely non--binding. But please recognize something important—your pledges of support are highly significant to us. Each additional pledge reinforces and adds weight to the overall scope and power of the community we are seeking to build. Each additional pledge tells us that community support for our effort is deep and broad. By expressing your support with a pledge, you are providing important information to us about the projected strength of our undertaking, and you are giving us the encouragement we need to tell others that our venture is on a pathway to success. We ask that you help even more by spreading the word to your friends, family and colleagues. There are many people who share our values that we are not able to reach on our own. We’re trying to get the word out broadly, and build a vibrant and ongoing community of interest in the new entity. Building community—it’s what our adversaries have done. It’s what we must do. PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS ABOUT BREAKTHEMATRIX.COM. It’s the best way you can help in this early formation stage.
What the New Media Company Offers to Investors and the American People
Our new media offering to our investors and the American people will be simple and straightforward. For the first time, our fellow Americans will have a central and ongoing source of information, news and entertainment about the values and philosophies that have been so eloquently expressed by Ron Paul during the course of the 2008 presidential campaign. We all understand what the old media people think about our values and philosophy. They showed their bias clearly over the course of the campaign. The old media ridiculed us; they ignored us; and they stifled and subverted our message. So look at their chosen winners: John McCain and Obama/Clinton. Isn’t it obvious that something has gone terribly wrong? Indeed it has-- and the old media institutions are at the heart of it. These old media people are blocking the truth; they’re spreading falsehoods and misinformation every day; and they are using their vast power to prevent the American people from hearing any message that they do not choose to communicate. Have no illusions about it-- the old media does not want the American people to hear our words. But we’re convinced the American people are looking for something better. We’re convinced there is an audience in America for OUR message. Here are the core values we will offer:
-
End the overseas empire; and bring the troops home.
-
End the Federal Reserve; break the debt money culture and the stranglehold of our bankers
-
Limit our Federal government to its proper Constitutional framework; end the income tax (and so much more).
-
Dismantle the police state; and free the American people.
This message is our product, ladies and gentlemen. It will be at the center of our new media content. This message is what we have to “sell” to advertisers, to listeners/viewers, and to the American people themselves. We start online, but we are going to take this message OFF the Internet and out to the American people in their households, in their cars, and in their daily lives. These values, these philosophies, this set of principles will be the guiding light for our new media company in everything we say and do. Our message is hope, and optimism, and a better future for our country.
Everything in the world of entertainment ultimately comes down to quality of the content. And that, of course, is exactly why we’re so enthusiastic about Basic Media, Inc. Our new media company will offer content that is fresh, and new, and truthful, and honest. Our positive message will stand in stark contrast to the lies and propaganda we hear every day from the old media icons. We’ll offer ideas, and shows, and entertainment that are hopeful, and that touch the issues which are central to the lives of our listeners and viewers. Our ideas; our message; our positive vision for a better future—as these things spread our audience will grow and grow.
Do you remember the classic Kevin Costner/Amy Madigan movie "Field of Dreams" from a few years back? The plot was the story of a dreamer (Kevin Costner) who decided one day to cut down his Iowa cornfield and build a baseball diamond in the middle of nowhere. (No offense to Iowa.) The Costner character built his field, and people laughed at the effort. But “Field of Dreams” had a classic line that captured so well the Costner vision:
"If you build it, they will come."
And come they did. At the close of the movie, the camera pans over an endless line of cars making their way to Costner’s farm. The word had gone out, and the people did come. They came to share in the great idea. They came to be part of a grand dream.
"If you build it, they will come."
Our message of optimism, hope and freedom will find its audience.
Our Timetable For Upcoming Events
Rick Williams and Trevor Lyman are putting the building blocks in place right now. We have our new Basic Media, Inc. web portal in Beta stage, and it will soon be up and ready. We’ve submitted a Request for Proposal to the technology firm that we anticipate will build and service our radio and television station online platforms. We have retained a realtor to locate studio/headquarters space in Hollywood for the new company. And we’re talking to creative people; finance people; lawyers; media people—top tier experts that we will need to get our startup company off the ground.
Some additional groundwork needs to be laid before the new company is ready for a public stock offering, and we’re working on that now. Please keep in mind that we aren’t using a Wall Street investment house in preparing our online offering. Nor will we be borrowing money from any fractional reserve bankers. We’re doing our business with Ron Paul supporters—these are the people we want in the new company. We’ll be using some tools from the old media structure—but we will not be bowing to their people or catering to their interests. And no government handouts, thank you. We’re building this company the old fashioned way.
Our best estimate is that we’ll be ready to proceed with the stock offering itself in May, 2008—two months from now. That’s the current target, and the sooner the better as far as we’re concerned. But we say again something we’ve said before in earlier writings, and that is: one step at a time. We would be foolish to rush things, and we won’t. Our approach will be slow and steady. The process of getting our message out and building a community and audience is going to take some time. We’ll all need to be patient. Anyone looking for a quick or flashy turnaround is in the wrong place here at Breakthematrix.com. The changes we are seeking to achieve will not come easily.
The following Securities and Exchange Commission rules apply for this “solicitation of interest” stage of our proceeding:

Some closing words from Ron Paul on March 6, 2008: “The campaign for freedom will continue.” And so it will. Right here at Breakthematrix.com.
