Isn’t it amusing to watch the mainstream media blather on about the economy? With each day’s fresh avalanche of economic downturn news, the old media grudgingly repeats the same empty questions. Are we entering a recession? What is the Fed doing to save us? Asking the wrong questions; giving the wrong answers-- our mainstream media is busily at work in its customary task of misinforming the American people.

What we’re actually seeing is the (unreported) systemic collapse of our bankster debt culture. Carlyle Capital, we now know, leveraged its mortgage backed securities fund at THIRTY TWO times equity. Goldman Sachs, we now know, ratted out its own clients by selling short in 2007. Citigroup, we now know, cannot expect further lifelines from their wealthy patrons in sovereign wealth funds. We are NOT “entering a recession,” ladies and gentlemen. Something far more profound is occurring. The world of the banksters is falling down-- and there’s nothing the Fed can do about it.

A single politician has been speaking the truth about these banksters, and his name is Ron Paul. That’s why it was (and is) so essential to the failing order that his message be silenced; that his voice not be heard. But that’s also why we’re starting Basic Media, Inc. Getting truthful voices heard—our goal; our purpose; our mission.

Ron Paul, it seems, will not receive the presidential oath of office on January 20, 2009. Our mainstream media has seen to that. Like Moses, Dr. Paul led his people from bondage, but also like Moses he will not himself enter the promised land. Sad and disappointing news? Indeed-- but let us read a bit further in the story of Moses and his people. Let’s look to the Old Testament book of Joshua. There we find that the city of Jericho stood in the way of Moses’ people at the outer boundary of the promised land. Jericho was the city of great walls, but Joshua knew what was needed. A trumpet blew, and the people shouted a great shout. That’s all it took-- a great shout. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down.
